Accuretic Information

Accuretic whose generic name is Hydrochlorothiazide and Quinapril is a drug used to treat hypertension. Unlike ordinary drugs prescribed for hypertension, which are only composed of either Quinapril or Hydrochlorothiazide, Accuretic is a combination of Quinapril and Hydrochlorothiazide. Quinapril is a drug belonging on the category of drugs known as ACEs or Angiotensin-Converting-Enzyme. Accuretic Indications

Accuretic is mostly prescribed to treat hypertension, symptoms of congestive heart failure such as shortness of breath and swelling of legs. Accuretic may also be used for the treatment ofedema.

Accuretic Warnings

Never take Accuretic if you have known or unknown allergies to sulfa-based medicines such as sulfa antibiotics since taking drugs which contains hydrochlorothiazide may trigger this reaction.

Accuretic should be prescribed at lower dose for patients who are 60 years old and above as side effects may be more readily felt if Accuretic be prescribed at a higher dose.

Accuretic is not for children’s use.

Guidelines
